A humble start in 1982 as a small nursery school which has infolded itself over the years into a huge banyan tree. The school includes kinder garden to Secondary Education aiming at bringing out socially aware, emotionally balanced, culturally intergrated, spiritually oriented, morally upright, phisically fit and intellectually well-informed young minds. With a present strength of 1300 students, 62 staff members,a strong PTA, an able administration and an excellent management, this Unaided Recognized School following the state syllabus marches forward with all feet in line, towards victories and glories galore. St. Francis School remains Perambra's beacon of education, spreading a positive feeling among everyone, not showing discrimination of any kind. Be it the SSLC results (holding the 2 nd & 3 rd positions in the number of A+ grades, in the district)the Kalamelas and Kalotsavs, Sports meets, LSS and USS sholarships exams (high grades in the Revenue district) the school keeps witnessing mammoth victories. Under the excellent administrative powers of the Headmistress, Rev. Sr. Rosily, supported by the dedication of the teachers and the trust shown by the parents, this ship keeps moving upstream, remaining a beacon of excellence.
